Studio and Enterprise workspaces can hand their own AI assistant the keys to the business side of Cutvey. Ask ChatGPT or Claude who owes you money, what is shooting next week or how the pipeline looks, and have it draft a proposal straight into your workspace. It runs on the subscription you already pay for, without limit, and never touches your Cutvey AI actions.
Cutvey becomes a connector inside ChatGPT or Claude. Once it is connected, your assistant can read your leads and pipeline, clients, projects, proposals, invoices, revenue and schedule, add a lead, log a call or a note, draft a follow-up for you to send, and write a proposal draft that lands in your Proposals list ready to finish in the composer. Everything it does runs as you, inside your workspace, and every write is recorded in your audit log as done by you via the assistant.
You need three things: a Studio or Enterprise workspace (a Studio trial counts), a team seat on it (crew seats cannot connect an assistant), and a ChatGPT or Claude plan that lets you add connectors. If you are not sure whether your plan does, look for Connectors in that app's settings.
The connector address is the same for everyone:
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Connector URL | https://app.cutvey.com/api/mcp |
| Authentication | Sign in with Cutvey (handled for you) |
You can also copy it from inside Cutvey: Settings, then Integrations, then the card named Your own AI assistant.
Open Claude's Settings, choose Connectors, then Add custom connector. Paste the address above and continue. Claude registers itself with Cutvey and sends you to Cutvey to sign in. Menu names can differ slightly between Claude's plans; the address is what matters.
Open ChatGPT's Settings, choose Connectors, and add a connector with the same address. ChatGPT sends you to Cutvey to sign in, the same way Claude does.
Cutvey shows you exactly what the assistant is asking for: the workspace it will work in (pick one if you belong to several), what it can do, and what it can never do. Approve and you are sent back to your assistant with the connector live. If you are not signed in to Cutvey, sign in with your usual emailed code first; you come back to the same card afterwards.
Ask something you would ask a good office manager. A few that work well on day one:
| Ask | What happens |
|---|---|
| Who owes me money right now? | Your outstanding invoices, with amounts and due dates |
| What is shooting in the next two weeks? | Shoot days, deadlines and meetings from your schedule |
| Add a lead for Meridian Coffee, contact Dana, budget around $15k | A new lead in your pipeline, source marked as the assistant |
| Draft a brand film proposal for that lead with a two-day shoot and an edit | A draft proposal in Cutvey, with a link to finish it in the composer |
It can read your workspace (leads, pipeline, clients, projects, proposals, invoices, revenue, crew utilization, schedule and templates), add leads, log activities, draft follow-ups and create or edit proposal drafts.
It can never send an email, proposal, invoice or reminder; sign or accept anything; create, pay, refund or void an invoice; delete anything; change your billing, plan or settings; touch crew pay; or read your files. Those actions do not exist on the connector, so no prompt can reach them. Anything it drafts waits for you to send it.
In Cutvey, Settings, then Integrations, then Your own AI assistant lists every assistant connected to the workspace, who connected it and when it last worked. Disconnect revokes its access immediately; the assistant will ask you to connect again if you want it back. Archiving a teammate's seat disconnects their assistants for them.
The consent card shows an upgrade note instead of Approve. The workspace is on Solo or Team, or a Studio trial has ended. Connectors are a Studio and Enterprise feature; upgrade in Settings, then Plan & Billing, and try again.
The assistant says Cutvey is not connected or asks me to sign in again. Access was disconnected in Cutvey, or your seat was archived. Add the connector again from your assistant's settings.
It connected to the wrong workspace. Disconnect it in that workspace's Integrations, then connect again and pick the right workspace on the consent card.
It says my plan does not allow that. Proposal drafts count toward your plan's proposals for the month and leads toward your contacts, exactly as they do in the app. The assistant tells you which limit it hit.
Stuck? Contact support and say which assistant you are connecting and what the card or the assistant showed; we will get you going.
