The short version
The software stack at a production company looks the same almost everywhere. One tool for leads and proposals. Another for call sheets. Another for review links. Another for invoices. Another for delivery. None of them talk to each other, so the thread between them is a person, copying a client's name into a fourth system and checking whether an approval in one app means an invoice can go out in another.
A lead becomes a proposal. A signed proposal becomes a deposit and a project. An approved cut becomes a final invoice. A paid invoice releases the files. That is the business, and it is one thread. Cutvey holds that thread from end to end.
How we build
Features come from real jobs. Call sheets carry the weather because crews check the sky. Delivery waits for the final payment because everyone in this business has released files on a promise and regretted it. Revision rounds are counted against the contract because "one more small change" is the most expensive sentence in post.
We would rather ship the feature that saves a producer's Tuesday than the one that demos well. So clients never need an account, the defaults work before you change anything, and your data exports while your account is active, because it is yours.
What we make
Cutvey, the workspace for production companies, and the apps around it: Cutvey Offload for the Mac, and Meter, Viewfinder and Teleprompter for set. One company, Cutvey LLC, makes all of them.
