Run the business
Behind every job sit the books, the conversations, the gear and the team. They live in the same place as the work, so the numbers and the messages are always about a real project.
Your morning, on one screen
See the shoots and deliveries this week, what needs you now, and the money owed to you and by you.
- A dashboard with a short morning brief
- Reports on revenue, profitability, pipeline, wins and losses, and utilization
- An activity log of who did what
Messages beside the work
Your team, your crew and each client get their own conversation, attached to the project it is about. Client replies by email land in the right place.
- Team, crew, client and project conversations
- Scheduled messages and search
- A private assistant, and @Assistant in a shared conversation, kept away from money anyone in it may not see
Books that keep up with the work
Every invoice and expense lands in Books. Simple mode works like self-employed bookkeeping; switch on double-entry when your accountant wants the full set.
- Bank feeds for US business accounts with books in US dollars, statement import and rules
- Mileage, receipts, and Schedule C and quarterly tax estimates to check with your accountant
- Drives logged for you by the Cutvey iPhone app, for you to mark business or personal
- Double-entry when you want it: bills, assets, loans, reconciliation, budgets and about 25 reports
- A budget, actuals and a cost report on every project
- One-way sync to QuickBooks Online or Xero: invoices, payments, voids, refunds and write-offs
Gear, in and out
Know what you own, where it is and who has it. Scan a label to check it out, book it for a shoot, and rent it to clients on Pro and up.
- Items, kits, places and labels with QR and barcodes
- Scan with a barcode scanner, the Cutvey app on your phone, or the browser camera where your browser supports it
- Check-out bookings that flag a clash
- Service tickets, stock-takes and an insurance schedule
- Rentals with quotes, a signed agreement and a deposit (Pro and up)
- Import from Cheqroom, Sortly or Booqable
Your team and your setup
Give each person the access their job needs, and connect the tools you already use.
- Roles for owner, admin, producer, editor, finance, accountant and crew
- Extra seats at $10 a month
- Sign in with an email code, two-step verification, and single sign-on (OIDC) on Enterprise
- Send studio mail from your own Gmail
- Your shoots, meetings and deadlines in a Cutvey calendar in Google or Outlook (a Microsoft 365 admin may need to approve it)
- Slack, plus a REST API and webhooks on Pro and up
- Connect ChatGPT or Claude to your workspace on Pro and up
- Your logo and color on client pages, and the app in 41 languages

Every paid plan includes Cutvey Offload for your Macs and Meter, Viewfinder and Teleprompter for each person.

Questions people ask
Do I still need an accountant?
Probably, and Cutvey gives them what they need: an accountant seat that sees Books, Reports, Activity and each project's Money, and, in double-entry, a pack of reports to hand over.
Can I connect QuickBooks or Xero?
Yes, one or the other. Cutvey sends invoices, payments, voids, refunds and write-offs to QuickBooks Online or Xero, one way.
Is renting gear to clients on every plan?
Gear itself is on every paid plan. Renting it out to others, with quotes, agreements and deposits, is on Pro and up.
