Messages keeps your team, your crew and your clients each in their own conversation, so nobody reads what was not meant for them.
Who can read a conversation
Every conversation shows who can read it, and that is fixed when it starts:

To bring a client into a team-only conversation, start a new one with them. An old conversation never opens up to someone new.
Each project has its own conversations. A message in a project's client conversation reaches the client by email and in their portal, and a client's email reply lands back in that conversation.
Start a conversation
Press New message, pick a project or No project, then add people or a team under To. You see exactly who will read it before you send. Then press Start conversation.
Direct messages are just between two people. Teams are groups of your studio's own people, set up by someone who manages the team.
While you write
- Enter sends, and Shift and Enter starts a new line.
- Attach files, reply in a thread, react, edit or delete your own message.
- Schedule send sends later, up to 30 days ahead, on your workspace's time. It sends only if you are still in the conversation. Files cannot be scheduled.
Find and follow
Search people, conversations and messages. Search only looks in conversations you are in now. For each conversation, choose Every message, Only when I am mentioned or Nothing, or mute it for a while.
Ask @Assistant
In a team, group, direct or project conversation, write @Assistant and a question. Its answer is posted for everyone in the conversation, so it only uses what every person there is allowed to see. With a client or crew member in the conversation, it reads the conversation only and never answers about money. Each answer uses an AI action.

Notifications and the app
A new message rings the Cutvey app on your phone, iPad and Mac. A push shows no message text unless you choose previews. Clients and crew never get previews.
