On this page

Reports shows how the business is doing, from the work you already run in Cutvey. It is in the Insights part of the menu, for people who can view reports, on every paid plan.

The numbers at the top

  • Collected in the period you choose.
  • Close rate: proposals won against proposals lost.
  • Avg project margin.
  • Weighted forecast: your open pipeline, weighted by how likely each deal is to close.

What else is on the page

ReportWhat it answers
Revenue by month, quarter or yearWhat came in, and when
Where revenue comes fromWhere the year's revenue came from
Revenue by project typeWhich kinds of work pay
Project profitabilityEach project's contract, cost and margin
Cycle timesAverage days from lead to close, proposal to payment, and edit to approval
Win and lossWin rate by project type

People who cannot see money see the parts without it: conversion, cycle times, team workload, crew capacity and win and loss.

  • Business Report prints the page as a PDF summary.
  • Year-end builds a packet for your accountant: revenue collected by month, expense category totals, an estimated tax set-aside and unpaid receivables as of today.

Books reports are separate

Profit and loss, tax details, mileage and receipts, and in double-entry the balance sheet and the rest, are in Books > Book Reports. See Start with Books.

Good to know

Reports are worksheets from your own records, not audited statements and not tax advice. They are the same on every paid plan.
