Sets, PINs and download rules
Updated November 2, 2026 · 2 min read
A big gallery reads better in sets, and every gallery needs clear download rules. Both live in the gallery's settings.
Split a gallery into sets
Sets are chapters, like Getting ready, Ceremony and Reception. Photos not in a set stay in the main set.
- On the gallery, press Add set and name it.
- Select photos and use Move to set, or upload straight into a set.
- Use Hide this set from clients for a set that is not ready, and Allow downloads from this set to control downloads set by set.
A gallery can have up to 60 sets.
Choose the download size
Under Downloads, pick a Download size:
- Full size (the original).
- Web size (2048 px).
- Both, the client chooses.
Control who downloads
- Download PIN asks for a code before downloading, separate from the gallery's own PIN.
- Downloads per person sets a limit.
- Ask for an email before downloading tells you who took which files.
- Release downloads when the project is paid lets clients view and favorite right away, while full-size downloads and the ZIP open once the project's invoices are paid in full. The gallery needs a linked project for this.
The ZIP
Clients can download a whole gallery or set at once. Large galleries come in parts of about 2 GB each.
