The Lightroom Classic plugin
The Cutvey plugin for Lightroom Classic adds a publish service, so your galleries fill from the catalog you already work in.
Download the plugin (version 1.0.0, ZIP)
What the plugin does
- Makes a new gallery for each published collection, or uses one you already have.
- Publishes the photos you choose into it, full size.
- Republishes a photo when you edit it again. It keeps its place and your client's hearts.
- Removes a photo from the gallery when you take it out of the collection and publish.
- Brings your client's favorites back into Lightroom as collections.
The plugin uses the Cutvey API, so it works on Pro, Studio and Enterprise, and during any Cutvey trial.
Install it
- Download the ZIP above and unzip it. Keep the cutvey.lrplugin folder somewhere it can stay, for example a Lightroom Plug-ins folder in your Documents.
- In Lightroom Classic, choose File > Plug-in Manager, press Add and pick the cutvey.lrplugin folder. It shows as Cutvey.
Set it up
- In Cutvey, open Settings > Developer and create an API key. Copy it right away: it is shown once.
- In the Library's Publish Services panel, press Set Up beside Cutvey.
- Paste your key and press Save and check. It shows your workspace's name. Then press Save.
- Right-click the Cutvey service, choose Create Published Collection, name it after the job, add photos and press Publish.
Your key is kept in your computer's password store, never in the catalog.
Your storage and your picks
Published photos count toward your storage, like any other upload. Your gallery settings still apply to everything the plugin publishes: the watermark, the download rules and any PIN stay exactly as you set them on the gallery. When your client has favorited photos, choose Library > Plug-in Extras > Get Cutvey client favorites. Lightroom then shows all the picks, each visitor's hearts and each list as collections under Cutvey client favorites, so you can start editing the selects right away. Run it again to bring them up to date.
