Zapier and the Cutvey API
On this page
Zapier and the Cutvey API let your workspace talk to the other tools you use. They are part of the Pro, Studio and Enterprise plans.
Create an API key
- Open Settings > Developer.
- Under API keys, give the key a name, for example "Zapier", and press Create.
- Copy the key right away. It is shown once and never again.
Keep the key secret, like a password. If it leaks, revoke it on the same page and anything using it stops working at once. Each key can make up to 120 requests a minute.
Zapier
The Cutvey app is on its way to the Zapier directory. Until it is listed, add it from Cutvey:
- Open Settings > Integrations and find the Zapier card.
- Press Add Cutvey to Zapier.
- Create an API key on Settings > Developer and paste it when Zapier asks for it.
Once it is in your Zapier account, a Zap can start when something happens in Cutvey:
- New Lead, Lead Won
- Proposal Signed
- Invoice Sent, Invoice Paid
- New Project
- Meeting Booked
And a Zap can do things in Cutvey: Create Lead, Update Lead, Create Client, Create Project and Create Invoice Draft. It can also Find Lead and Find Client.
Webhooks
Under Webhooks on the same page, add an https address and choose the events to send, or All events. Cutvey posts a signed JSON payload when they happen and retries a failed delivery a few times over the next half hour. You can keep up to 100 active webhooks.
Who can set it up
API keys and webhooks are managed by people who can change workspace settings, usually the owner and admins.
