Booking puts a crew member on a project for one or more shoot days. From there they appear on the call sheet, in the project's crew cost and on their own crew page.

Book someone on a project

  1. Open the crew member's page in Production > Crew, or open the project and go to Shoot.
  2. Press Book on a project.
  3. Pick the Shoot days and the Call time.
  4. Choose the Roster rate, or a Negotiated rate for this job, and add a Kit fee if they bring gear.
  5. Press Book.

Booking several days makes one booking per day, all on one deal memo.

Pencil someone in with a hold

Not sure yet? Tick Book as a hold. A hold keeps the date for that person but they are not on the call sheet, they are not counted in crew cost and no deal memo goes out. Cutvey still flags a clash if you try to book them elsewhere that day.

When the job is confirmed, press Make it a booking.

Send the deal memo

A deal memo is never sent unseen. Press Review the deal memo to read exactly what the crew member will get. You can change the wording there, then press Send deal memo.

If the booking changes while the preview is open, Cutvey asks you to look again before it sends, so nobody receives an old version.

After the shoot

Crew send you their invoice for the job through their crew link, and it lands in Books > Crew Invoices. If you use timecards, the approved hours add a line to that invoice for you. See Crew timecards and overtime.
