Sync Google Calendar or Outlook

Each person on your team can connect their own Google or Outlook calendar. Cutvey then keeps a calendar called "Cutvey" up to date with your work, and checks when you are busy so nobody books you twice.

Connect your calendar

  1. Open Settings > Profile, or Settings > Integrations and its Calendar card.
  2. Press Connect Google Calendar or Connect Outlook Calendar and sign in.

This is your own connection. Connecting does not change anyone else's calendar.

What goes on the Cutvey calendar

Cutvey makes a new calendar named "Cutvey" in your account and puts on it:

  • meetings you host or attend
  • shoot days you are on the call sheet for
  • the due dates of your projects

It covers yesterday to 180 days ahead. Notes and attendees are never sent. A crew login gets shoots only.

Busy times

To keep your booking page accurate, Cutvey reads only when you are busy, the start and end times, never what the event is. Google reads your primary calendar, and Outlook your default calendar.

Changes you make in your calendar

If you move one of your own internal meetings to a new time in Google or Outlook, Cutvey takes the new time. Other changes are put back so Cutvey and your client stay in step: a client's booking, a shoot day, a deadline or a deleted event. Editing only the words of an event is left alone.

Disconnect

Disconnect from the same card. The Cutvey calendar stays in your account but stops updating, so you can delete it whenever you like.
