Change a sent proposal
On this page
Once a proposal is sent, your edits are kept to one side as unpublished changes. Your client keeps seeing the version they already have until you press Publish changes.
Edit and publish
- Open the proposal and make your changes in the composer, as you would on a draft.
- Cutvey saves them as unpublished changes. The client's page does not move.
- When you are happy, press Publish changes.
- In the dialog, tick Email the client that this proposal was updated if you want them told, and add a note under Add a note (optional).
Each publish becomes a numbered version, and you will see Published as version with its number. You can view an earlier version, or restore it, from the proposal's record.
If two people edit at once
Two people can work on the same proposal. If someone saved a newer copy while you were editing, Cutvey tells you instead of overwriting their work. Reload, then make your change again.
What you cannot change
A signature locks the document. From the first signature on a proposal with several signers, the price, the packages and the terms are fixed for everyone, including your team. Changes you had not published by then can only be discarded.
To agree something new after signing, send a new proposal or a change order from the project.
Your client's picks stay theirs
If your client already chose a package or ticked add-ons, publishing does not reset their choice, as long as it still exists in the new version.
