Countersign and keep the signed copy

Some agreements should carry both signatures. In Cutvey the client signs first, then someone at your studio countersigns, and both sides get the finished copy.

Countersign

  1. Open the contract under Sales > Contracts. Once the client has signed, you will see Countersign.
  2. Press Countersign, add your signature, and press Sign for the studio.

The client is emailed the copy signed by both of you.

Keep the signed copy

On a signed contract you will find two downloads:

  • Signed copy (PDF), the agreement with every signature on it.
  • Signature certificate, the record of who signed, when, and how.

Keep both with your files. Your client can also open the signed contract from their client portal.

Signed proposals

A proposal your client signs is itself the agreement, and signing it creates the project. Its Signature certificate is on the proposal's record, so there is nothing to countersign unless you send a separate contract.

Voiding

If a contract your client has not signed yet no longer stands, Void it. Its link closes, voiding cannot be undone, and the record stays. A signed contract cannot be voided; talk to your client and agree a change instead.
