Send a contract on its own

Not every agreement needs a price. A contract in Cutvey is a document you send for signature on its own: an NDA, a usage license, an extra agreement on a job you already won.

Create a contract

  1. Go to Sales > Contracts and press New contract.
  2. Pick a Template, or choose Start from a blank page.
  3. Give it a Title and choose the Client.
  4. Choose a Project, or No project.
  5. Check the signer's name and email. Leave them empty to use the client's.
  6. Press Create contract.

Merge fields, like the client's name or today's date, are filled in at this moment. Read the text through: you can still edit it until the client signs.

Send it

  • Send for signature emails the signer a link.
  • Copy signing link gives you the link to share yourself.

Your client opens the link, reads the agreement and signs online. It also shows in their client portal.

With a project

A contract tied to a project shows on the project's Money page, in the Other contracts card. It never replaces the project's own agreement, and deleting the project does not delete the contract.

Change your mind

Void cancels a contract nobody has signed yet, for good, and closes its link. Delete draft removes a contract you never sent or shared. Once your client signs, a contract can no longer be voided or deleted.
