Take notes back into your edit
Once the notes are in, you can carry them straight into your editing software as markers, so you work through them on your own timeline.
Export the notes
- Open the project and go to Review.
- On the cut, press Export notes.
- Pick the format for your software.
The formats are:
- Print sheet (PDF), a printable list of the notes.
- Spreadsheet (CSV) for a spreadsheet.
- Resolve and Avid (EDL), which most editing software can import.
- Final Cut Pro (XML) for Final Cut Pro.
- Premiere Pro (markers), a marker list for Premiere Pro.
- Avid (marker text), a text marker list for Avid.
The marker formats are offered for video and audio cuts. A still image or a PDF proof exports as the print sheet or the spreadsheet. You can also tick Open notes only to leave out the notes already resolved.
Match your timeline's start
Cutvey uses the start timecode saved in your file, and the export panel tells you which one. If your sequence starts at 01:00:00:00 instead, tick My timeline starts at 01:00:00:00 before exporting, and the markers start there.
A changes sheet for the client
When a client has asked for changes, the cut also offers Changes sheet (PDF). It lists every open note the client can see, so it is handy for a call or for your editor. Internal notes are left out.
Internal notes
Notes marked as internal belong to your team, and the export includes them unless you tick Leave out internal notes. Tick it before you send a file to anyone outside the studio.
