The Premiere Pro panel

The Cutvey panel for Adobe Premiere Pro brings your review notes into your edit, so you can work through them without switching windows.

What the panel does

  • Connects to your Cutvey workspace with an API key.
  • Lets you pick a project and a cut.
  • Shows that cut's notes in the panel.
  • Places the notes on your sequence as markers, at their timecodes.
  • Exports your sequence and uploads it to Cutvey as the next version of the cut.

The panel uses the Cutvey API, so it works on Pro, Studio and Enterprise, and during any Cutvey trial.

Set it up

  1. In Cutvey, open Settings > Developer and create an API key. Copy it right away: it is shown once.
  2. Install Cutvey for Premiere from Adobe's Creative Cloud Marketplace, then open it from Premiere Pro's Window menu.
  3. Paste your key and press Connect.
  4. Choose the project and the cut you are working on.

After you upload

The new version joins the same stack in Review, and the project moves to Review. If you already sent the cut out for approval, Cutvey tells the reviewers whose turn it is about the new version, and your client only once that version is theirs to see. Otherwise, send the link when you are ready. Notes your client writes on the new version show up in the panel the next time you open that cut, so you can keep working through them as markers.
