Offer packages in a proposal

Packages let a client choose between a few versions of the job, like a half day, a full day and a full day with a second camera. They pick exactly one, and the total follows their pick.

Simple or Packages

On the Build step, choose the pricing style.

  • Simple is a list of line items, plus optional add-ons the client can tick.
  • Packages is up to four packages. Each package has its own line items and its own price.

A proposal offers at most four packages. Cutvey will not send one with an empty package, so give each package at least one line before you send.

Set up your packages

  1. Choose Packages on the Build step.
  2. Name each package and add its line items.
  3. Mark one as Recommended if you like. The client's page opens on that one.

The client picks a package on the page, and the price, the deposit and the signature all follow that choice.

The comparison table

Under the package cards you can show a table that sets the packages side by side, with a Choose button for each. It needs two or more packages, and it starts off on every new proposal. Turn it on in the settings sheet under Client options. See Client options on a proposal.

Going back to Simple

If you switch a proposal from Packages back to Simple, Cutvey asks which package's line items to keep. The others are set aside, so nothing is mixed together by accident.
