Client options on a proposal

Client options change what your client can do on the proposal page. Every one of them starts off, so a proposal shows only what you chose.

Where to find them

Open the proposal, open the settings sheet, and look for the Client options group. To set a default for new proposals, go to Settings > Proposals > Client options for new proposals. Three of the options have a default there: the question box, the decline link and the email code.

The options

  • Show a comparison table to the client. Lists every line item under the package cards, with a column for each package. Needs two or more packages.
  • Let the client send a question or change request. Adds a message box beside the signature, so a client can ask before they sign.
  • Let the client decline. Adds a small Not for us link. If they use it, the proposal is marked lost and you are told. You can reopen it.
  • Booking. Asks the client to book a time with you: after signing, before signing as an option, or before signing as a must. Attach a booking page under Next steps first.
  • Questionnaire. The same three choices, for one of your forms. Attach the questionnaire under Next steps first.
  • Payment plans. Lets the client pick how to pay, from up to three plans over the same total. It turns on when you add a second plan under How much on signing. See Deposits, milestones and payment plans.
  • Email code before signing. Sends a one-time code to the email address you have on file, and asks for it before the signature.

Booking before signing

A time booked before signing is held as tentative. The signature confirms it. If the proposal is lost, withdrawn or expires, the tentative time is released and your calendar is freed.
