Send email from your own domain
Connect a sending domain and the email Cutvey sends for your studio comes from your own address, like hello@mail.yourstudio.com, instead of Cutvey's. It is part of the Pro, Studio and Enterprise plans.
Before you start
You need access to your domain's DNS settings, wherever your domain is managed. We suggest a subdomain such as mail.yourstudio.com, so the email you already send from your main domain is never touched.
Connect the domain
- Open Settings > Integrations and find the Email domain card.
- Enter the domain you want to send from, and the Workspace default sender: the part before the @, like hello or studio. Press Save.
- Cutvey shows a few DNS records. Add each one at your DNS host exactly as shown.
- Come back and press Verify DNS. DNS can take a little while to spread.
The default sender is the shared address for automated mail and for teammates without their own. Each person can have their own send-as address in Settings > Team.
The email domain setup guide walks through each step with screenshots and fixes for the usual snags.
Gmail instead?
If you would rather send from your own Gmail address, see Send studio mail from Gmail. Most studios pick one or the other.
Trials
While a workspace is on its trial and has no verified sending domain, its mail goes out as "Your studio via Cutvey". Once you subscribe or verify a domain, your own name is used alone.
Thank you. We are glad it helped.
