Tasks, task templates and My Work

Tasks live on projects. Each one can have someone it is for, a due date, a description, a discussion and files. My Work gathers everything assigned to you across every project.

Add a task

Open a project and add a task on its Home, or go to Tasks and pick the project. Give it a title, then:

  • Assignee: a person on your team. They get a notification and see it in their My Work.
  • A due date, or a date that follows the project, like "3 days before the shoot" or "2 days after the due date". It moves when that date moves.
  • High priority.
  • Repeats every day, week or month. Finishing it adds the next one.
  • A Description: details, links, what done looks like.

Tasks can have subtasks, and you can move tasks up and down the list.

Discuss and attach

Each task has a Discussion for comments and Files for attachments, up to 25 MB each. Only your team sees them. Clients and crew never do.

Task templates

Turn your standard process into a ready list. In Settings > Templates, under Task Templates, build a template for each kind of job. Apply it from a project's Settings, or select several projects on the board and press Apply template. Tasks already on the project are not added twice.

Workflows can add tasks too, when something happens. See Workflows.

My Work

My Work is your own list, across every project, in Overdue, Due today, This week, Later and No due date, with what you finished recently below.

The Tasks page shows every task on every project for the whole team, filtered by who it is for, its project and its due date.

Crew and tasks

A crew member who signs in sees only the tasks assigned to them, on the projects they work on, and never a task's discussion or files.
