Paid bookings and mini-sessions

A booking type can ask to be paid, keep its own hours and ask a few questions. A mini-session is a day of short back-to-back times, each bookable once, on a page of its own.

Take payment when booking

Open Settings > Scheduling, go to Booking types, edit a type, and choose under Payment to book:

  • Nothing now
  • The full price, with the Price
  • A deposit, as An amount or A percent of the price

The time is held for 15 minutes while your client pays, and confirmed once the payment arrives. The payment is an invoice in Money, with its receipt. After a deposit, the balance waits as a draft invoice for you to send.

If a client pays but someone else took the time first, you are told so you can offer another time or refund them. Cutvey never refunds on its own.

Hours and questions for one type

  • Under Hours for this type, choose Same as my workspace or Its own hours, then tick the days and set the times.
  • Under Questions before booking, pick one of your forms. Its questions are asked on the booking page and the answers are kept on the lead.

Run a mini-session

  1. On Settings > Scheduling, go to Mini-sessions and press New mini-session.
  2. Fill in the Name, Date, First slot, Length (minutes), Gap (minutes) and Slots.
  3. Add the Location and What to know.
  4. Pick a Booking type to use its payment rule and questions, and set the session's own Price per slot. Leave the price empty for a free session. With no booking type, or one that takes no payment, the price is paid on the day.
  5. Save it. It starts as a Draft, with no public page yet.
  6. Press Open for booking and share its page.

You can see each time as Open, Held while someone pays, or Booked. Press Close to new bookings when you are full or the day is near. Times somebody booked never move, and a mini-session booking cannot be rescheduled.
