Collect releases on set

A release is permission to use someone's face, voice, property or location. Cutvey keeps every signed release with its project, and one list shows them all.

Collect a signature for a project

  1. Open the project and go to Shoot > Releases.
  2. Press Collect signature to send a release by link, or use Signing mode to hand your phone or tablet to the person on set.

There are four kinds: talent, minor, location and property. A minor's release is signed by a parent or guardian, who also says how they are related to the minor.

Edit the wording

Your release text comes from Settings > Clauses & Releases. The form merges in the project and your company's name. Once someone signs, the text they signed is frozen with their signature, so a later edit never changes a signed release.

See every release

Production > Releases lists every signed release and every open request across all your projects. From there you can Send a release, open any signed copy or download the list as a CSV.

Cast releases

On the project's cast list in Plan, each person shows whether their release is signed, matched by email. Requesting one there sends the same release request.
