Reminders and late fees

Cutvey can chase unpaid invoices for you, politely and on a schedule you choose. Every reminder shows what is still owed, not the original total.

Choose a cadence

Open Settings > Payments and find Overdue reminders in the Getting paid card. Pick one:

CadenceWhen reminders go
Gentle7, 14 and 30 days after the due date
Standardthe day after the due date, then every 3 days, 3 reminders
Firm1, 3, 7 and 14 days after the due date

Standard is the default. Press Save.

A heads-up before it is due

Tick Send a friendly reminder 3 days before an invoice is due. It is off by default. Each invoice gets one, and never on the day you send it.

One invoice at a time

On any invoice you can Pause reminders for a client you are talking to, and Resume reminders later. Send a reminder now sends one right away. The invoice's Reminders and late fee row shows what is set for it.

Late fees

Set a late fee in Settings > Proposals with Late fee (%) and Grace period (days). The grace period is 7 days unless you change it.

Once the grace period after the due date has passed, Cutvey adds the fee once, as its own line. It is a percentage of what is still owed before tax, so a client who paid half is not charged on the half they paid.

To skip the fee for one client, open Reminders and late fee on that invoice and turn off Late fee. An invoice with its reminders paused gets no late fee either, and writing off a balance stops both reminders and late fees.
